164. My Life Continues…

Roberto Cavalli with Lupo164. My Life Continues…

Before starting again to talk about the book I’m writing, I want you, who follow my Blog, to be closer to me with your thoughts, tell me what are the stories that matter most to you, the ones that you like and bind you more.

Sometimes I am afraid of boring you. I want you as friends, I want you to know everything that goes on inside my head… my thoughts… my principles… my uneasiness…

In one of my last posts I expressed my ideas on a political fact that held Italy in suspense, waiting for an important result. I was nervous too, feeling the very hardships that my Italy is suffering!  It’s a problem that I feel so keenly that I would sacrifice my life if I knew I could solve the problems of so many…

Do you want to know from me only about the days I spend in fashion? Most of the time I spend is at my desk, drawing… thinking… browsing… I have not much to tell you!  Then, in the evening, before going to sleep, not wishing to describe the mundane matters of my day, in which you might have no interest, or the meetings of the  board of directors, I am instead talking about myself… of my thoughts… of all that has grown up with me and made me who I am!

Roberto CavalliI think, to better understand me, to be able to find an opening to get into my head, you should know my life. A long life so full of adventures that the few friends to whom I have read my memoirs, have asked me “but is it all true…?”

I think I’ve lived a thousand years, my experience and my desire to know… to live… maybe goes beyond two thousand years!

I’ve never sought success as such, it is as though success needed me.  I like to create, to be different… to invent… for the great pleasure of seeing the results.  I’ve never worked, lived or created to make money. The gain is a result that gives you the size of how you are working. If your time is well spent or is wasted!

There have been times when I have wished that everything I did and made in fashion had gone unnoticed.  Success becomes addictive… it binds you… it is never enough. It can ruin the sound principles that your family has taught you and impacts upon the family that you have created with love!

I was lucky enough not to have had success in my youth, my age and my wisdom helped me to not succumb completely!

I feel sorry for the many young people, young singers for example, who manage to gain the crowds! I wonder what will be the result of this on the rest of their lives.

My book, “MY ADVENTURE” will let you know Roberto Cavalli, for many of you a myth…

THANK YOU, for your appreciation and your love…

I LOVE YOU

Roberto Cavalli with Lupo164.

I LOVE YOU
Roberto Cavalli

    Buonasera Signor Cavalli,

Dear Mr. Cavalli: I believe we all feel very close to you as a human being. The most impottant thing for me is life, in all its dimmensions. I personally live life as a sociological experience, and for that reason I am never impressed by the exceptional human beings I have luckily met along my fascinating life. And you are one of them, but only one of them. I was surprised to find myself fascinated by a fashion designer, which is in the antipodes of the kind of people I am used to relating to. The first thing that caught my attention from you was that you sounded like a close friend when you called me to my mobile. And when I met you personally, the first impression you gave me on the phone got confirmed, not only because you immediately made feel at home in your house (I have beautiful pictures of your gorgeous house), but also because of what Florentines told me on my way to your house. But what has really given me the dimension of your soul is reading your blog. You are the kind of person that walks around with his/her heart on his/her shoulder. It is impossible for a person like you to bore anybody: so don’t worry!

So I am interested in how you became the exceptional human being you are, and that obviously includes your extraordinary experiences as a fashion designer and as a paparazzi object : – (

I understand your worry about Italy. I hope politicians find the way to get it back into shape.

And last, but not least, my fascination for you is simply the consequence of my passion for life and for human beings. And perhaps because you are an artist, and that is perhaps what I know most about. It is very late, and I have no time to read this very long post. Don’t mind the possible errata. Good night.

Good morning, Mr. Cavalli. I forgot to tell you that yoo look great on all the pictures. If I insist on this is because you normally seem unhappy with your image. You transmit a very good image of yourself. If I were you I would not stress too much (you obviously have to refer to all the aspects of your life) to your wealth in itself. I would use it as a mere reference to all it has allowed to do as a human being: I mean to say, how it has allowed you to live experiences that have enriched you spiritually. And also, how your family has been enriched itself (spiritually) as a consequence of your international projection, with your wife’s necessary collaboratoon Have a nice day all of you.

PS.: There were a few errata, as I expected, but they are minor.

    Grande Cavalli!!

    Roberto,

I love your blog! The way you are so open about your thoughts, hopes and wishes is truly inspiring. It’s amazing that you’ve opened up your life to us and are happy to share and I think it’s cute that you worry that you bore us. As if….

Your “private” photo album is fantastic and I love browsing the images, your pictures speak a thousand words and this blog almost feels as if we get chance to sneak a peek at your diary, which is so, so cool.

I love that you are so humble, inquisitive about the world around you and your heart is open, wanting to help and do things for other people. It’s fabulous!

A true artist living in our times.
