The contrast between Florence and Dubai is very strong…

I am looking out over Dubai City from the 103 floor of the Burj Khalifa. With a height of 830 meters it is the tallest building in the world and the view is amazing … you feel as though you are on a plane flying over the city…

When I think of the tallest building in Florence, it is the Brunelleschi Dome of Florence Cathedral… at 116 meters you have a commanding and painterly view over the red brick roofs of the city…. a work of art in itself. The Renaissance at its best. I feel the contrast…

Dubai is a city with an amazing architecture… here architects around the world have had the opportunity to give vent to their creativity both as to form and materials, very innovative…

Everything here is luxurious… the Burj Al Arab, one of the most luxurious hotel in the world, also known as a 7-star hotel, was built on an artificial island… here you have a sense that everything is possible…

Dubai Mall is the largest shopping center in the world and currently is hosting an event organized by Vogue Italy – the second edition of Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience #VFDE – from October 30… a three-day event entirely dedicated to fashion. Today I had the pleasure of attending a fashion show at the Dubai Mall as a spectator… it was a pleasurable and relaxing time. It has been a long time since I have had the leisure to attend a fashion show that was not my own…

Vogue Fashion Dubai Experience includes a session entirely dedicated to Italian Fashion with a series of Fashion Talks. On November first at 4 PM I shall have the pleasure to talk about my Fashion and my great adventure in the world of Fashion …

When I decided to open my first Cavalli Club I chose the city of Dubai. I designed the Cavalli Club Dubai, destination of international celebrities, with the idea of offering a place that is truly unique, a place beyond trendy fashion…

Whenever I am visiting Dubai I spend my evenings in the pleasant company of friends, beautiful women and fans at the Cavalli Club. You are all invited!

Greetings from the Persian Gulf…

AWESOME architecture!!! But Florence is “LE MUST”, together with Venice. How privileged your Dubai audience! When are you coming to Spain to thrill us with your fascinating life experience? Saluti

…talking about AWESOME architecture: I am THRILLED with the SPECTACULAR beauty of the new WORLD TRADE CENTER of New York City. Being One World Trade Center the tallest building in the western hemisphere tells me I must make plans to go back to the city of my adolescense. Living there and studying in the heart of the Mid Upper East Side -paying a rather symbolic tuition for my first college studies- made me feel like an authentically privileged adolescent. I used to go eat brunch -twice a year only- at The Plaza Hotel, on 59th Street and Central Park South. Eating there ended up being very cheap: you could eat all you wanted, except, for example, for the natural orange juice and the french omelettes. Everything was DELICIOUS! The waiters -most of them hispanic- were GREAT. They once gave my family and I a tour of that legendary hotel. Saluti
