344. Buon Natale, Merry Christmas!
Today is Christmas Day and my wish is that you will be able to spend this special day in the company of your loved ones.
Christmas is a very special time. It affords us the pleasure of sharing a day in total peace with our family. The days leading up to Christmas are often frantic, trying to complete the work that we have pending before the winter break. In Italy most of the activities will restart after January 6, the celebration of the Epiphany.
But on Christmas Day, as if by magic, everything stops. Suddenly you find yourself in a surreal calm broken only by the joy of the children opening the gifts…
I am in Florence, and I spend my Christmas surrounded by children and grandchildren. What joy!
How do you say Merry Christmas in your language? In Italian we say Buon Natale.
I wish you a Merry Christmas to you and your family.
I LOVE YOU
