Roberto Cavalli 40th Anniversary – Gala Dinner and Party

Roberto Cavalli concluded the celebration of his 40th Anniversary in fashion with a Gala Dinner and Party at ‘Ecole Nationale Des Beaux Arts in Paris’, yesterday the 29th of September.
The court of the historical and prestigious Parisian art academy was decorated with hundreds of candles with a façade lit by shining projections of fireworks and the Roberto Cavalli logo.
The chapel was the setting for the unveiling of the images of the celebratory book that Roberto Cavalli realised with the famed fashion photography duo: Mert and Marcus. The book features the iconic Cavalli dresses worn by the most beautiful women in the world, and will be available worldwide from November, 2010. A selection of Cavalli’s most famous vintage gowns was displayed inside the chapel. While a live classical orchestra of seven musical elements filled the external court space with Italian opera arias, the guests moved into the ‘court vitre’ of the building, a huge hall covered by a glass ceiling, where the dinner and the party were hosted. Decorated in true Cavalli style, with thousands of meters of animal printed silk covering sofas and tables, the room was transformed in an Italian garden, with cypresses, boxwood hedges, and a huge green wall at the right end of the hall. The Italian-style buffet was served on tables covered in printed silk linens and enriched with huge floral compositions. In front of the VIP lounge, lay the stage that hosted the performance of the Crazy Horse dancers and of Kylie Minogue. Kylie presented her most famous hits, including her two new singles, ‘All the Lovers’ and ‘Get out of my way’, with a special unplugged version accompanied by a live orchestra and dancers. Immediately following, Heidi Klum took the stage to introduce Roberto Cavalli and together they cut the 3 meter-high cake created by the French ‘maitres patissiers’, Potel et Chabot. The party-goers danced the night away with the live DJ set by David Guetta, drinking Roberto Cavalli Vodka cocktails and Piper Heidisieck champagne.

The following guests, all wearing Roberto Cavalli, attended the event:
