JUST CAVALLI COLLECTION – SPRING/SUMMER 2011

The Just Cavalli collection for Spring/Summer 2011 is devoted to young jet-setters and their glamorous, original style.
Young men and women are the leading players of a decisive but unpredictable generation. We find modern princesses who love art and combine family tradition with contemporary flair.
The ‘It Girls’ who choose Just Cavalli declare their individualism through a look that alludes to the legendary ‘Saint-Tropez’ of the Seventies and Mediterranean hotspots such as Ibiza, Mykonos and the Island of Cavallo: the favourite destinations of an international jeunesse dorée that, even today, wants to see and be seen … as in times past.

MATERIALS:
Denim is the star:

  • Jeans that are ‘super-washed’, bleached or singed with fire
  • Embroidered with pearls and crystals on shirts, jackets and oversized T-shirts
  • Jackets and vests, with a mix of original vintage jacquard from the Seventies, the modern reproduction of the first historic RC patchwork
  • Trousers in all over lasered leopard print

Leather items: aged laminated suede with flower appliqués, suede ribbons laser cut and lined in silk for oversized jackets, or with raw edges applied fringes.
We see also bright coloured maxi-dresses, trousers and shirts in silk printed chiffon or ultra-light silk gauze.

Silk dresses embroidered with all-white flower appliqués or in taffeta in mixed animalier prints, lace, crushed silk and animalier jacquards.

ACCESSORIES:
Pins and macro-necklaces made with sea-coloured agates, framed in metal silver and gold.
Footwear comes in a mix of leather and multicolour fabrics, like the fringed macrobags.
The look is completed with wide-brimmed hats made of crocodile-print brown leather or denim.

Roberto Cavalli Eyewear ‘Dea’ – World Preview Event

Roberto Cavalli and Salmoiraghi&Vigano present the world preview of ‘Dea’: the new sunglasses from Roberto Cavalli Eyewear dedicated to the 40th Anniversary of the Maison.

Milan, September 25th 2010 – Roberto Cavalli and Marcolin, in collaboration with the biggest Italian chain of eyewear stores, Salmoiraghi&Viganò, presented the new model from Roberto Cavalli Eyewear, ‘Dea’ in a world preview.
The event took place yesterday, Friday, the 24th of September, 2010, at the flagship store of Salmoiraghi & Viganò in Piazza San Babila (at the corner of Corso Matteoti) in Milan.
The store in Piazza San Babila is the first with a window displaying the world preview of the ‘Dea’ model’, created by Marcolin and Roberto Cavalli in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the Maison.
In honor of the occasion, the store was decorated with enlarged prints displaying the Roberto Cavalli Fall/Winter 2010-2011 advertising campaign; also visible in projection were evocative videos from the Maison Cavalli.

Karolina Kurkova and Elena Santarelli were present at the event.
