309 Greece, great people and wonderful places!

This holiday, spent visiting the Greek islands, was very relaxing and enjoyable…

Unfortunately, tomorrow we have to leave to go back to Italy. The return trip will take us to Sardinia where we moor the Bat-Zodiac until the next adventure…

The great advantage of traveling by sea is that there are never any queues or traffic jams… we do not have schedules and we can stop and indulge ourselves in our admiration of the beauty of the Mediterranean sea… dolphins often accompany us with their playful attitude.

I will carry in my heart this holiday and the friends that we met on our travels and discoveries. The Greeks have an innate sense of hospitality and are proud of their country, their traditions and their history…

Located at the crossroad of Europe, Asia and Africa the Greek civilization enjoyed its maximum expansion during the time of Ancient Greece. It is a civilization that already had an extensive knowledge of the arts in pre-Hellenic times over three thousand years ago…

We tasted some delicious food, cooked according to brilliant local recipes… simple, often with few ingredients, but very tasty.

How much inspiration I have gathered from these places, from these cultures… from this nature so exaggeratedly colourful… almost too much beauty!

I want to thank you for the many pictures of the Bat-Zodiac that you sent me, it has become the most famous vessel in the Mediterranean…

But now I must leave you… I have to set the on board instruments for the return route…

309. Grecia, gente fantastica e luoghi meravigliosi!

Questa vacanza, trascorsa visitando le isole Greche, è stata molto rilassante e piacevole…

Purtroppo domani si riparte per ritornare in Italia. Il viaggio di rientro ci porterà verso la Sardegna dove lasceremo il Bat-Gommone in parcheggio fino alla prossima avventura…

Il grande vantaggio di viaggiare per mare è che non ci sono mai code o ingorghi… non abbiamo orari e possiamo fermarci per una sosta ad ammirare le bellezze del mare Mediterraneo… spesso i delfini ci fanno compagnia e ci affiancano con il loro atteggiamento giocoso.

Porterò nel mio cuore questa vacanza e gli amici che abbiamo incontrato nel nostro girovagare alla scoperta di questi posti. I Greci hanno un innato senso dell’ospitalità e sono orgogliosi del proprio paese, delle loro tradizioni e della loro storia…

Crocevia fra Europa, Asia e Africa la civiltà Greca ha conosciuto la massima espansione durante il periodo della Magna Grecia. Una civiltà che aveva un’estesa conoscenza delle arti in epoca pre-ellenica oltre tremila anni fa…

Abbiamo assaggiato dei piatti squisiti, cucinati secondo le ricette locali… semplici, spesso con pochi ingredienti, ma molto gustosi.

Quanta ispirazione da questi luoghi, da queste culture… da questa natura così esageratamente colorata… quasi un eccesso di bellezza!

Voglio ringraziarvi per le tante foto del Bat-Gommone che mi avete inviato, è diventato il natante più famoso del Mediterraneo…

Ma ora devo lasciarvi… devo impostare gli strumenti di bordo per la nuova rotta…
