I have always had a passion for watches. These invaluable tools for the measurement of time have always fascinated me.

I’m a fan of mechanical watches, real jewels of high precision mechanical engineering, objects dedicated to the measurement of one of the most precious aspects of our lives… the time.

People have always been fascinated by time measurement, it is one of the keys to the way we convey our understanding of the entire universe. We measure the time it takes for light to travel from one point to another.

Our watch has become our daily companion with which we measure the passage of minutes, hours… it tell us how much time we must wait until that long-anticipated event…

Sometimes I wish I could have a button that would allow me to slow down the flow of time, and another button that would allow me to speed it up and make the long hours last only few minutes!

Tempus fugit, time flies and seems to fly especially quickly when we are in good company and enjoying ourselves…

Four years ago I started a collaboration with Franck Muller, the leading manufacturer of precious watches, masterpieces in the best Swiss tradition.

I have always been an admirer and collector of Franck Muller watches and I was very happy to start a collaboration that has introduced me to such a fascinating world.

The new collection I designed for Franck Muller incorporates the most important and iconic elements of my fashion, a fusion between technology, style, creativity and fashion.

Time is the most precious resource that all of us possess!

Ho sempre avuto una grande passione per gli orologi. Questi preziosi strumenti per la misurazione del tempo mi hanno sempre affascinato.

Sono un appassionato degli orologi meccanici, veri e propri gioielli di alta precisione e ingegneria meccanica, oggetti dedicati alla misurazione di uno degli aspetti più preziosi nella nostra vita… il tempo.

Da sempre l’uomo è stato affascinato dalla misurazione del tempo, una delle chiavi per la comprensione dell’intero universo. Come la misurazione del tempo che occorre alla luce per viaggiare tra due punti.

L’orologio è quindi diventato il nostro compagno quotidiano con cui misuriamo lo scorrere dei minuti, delle ore… ci indica quanto tempo ci separa da quell’evento tanto atteso…

A volte vorrei poter avere un pulsante per rallentare lo scorrere del tempo, altre vorrei poter accelerare il passare del tempo e trasformare le lunghe ore in pochi minuti!

Tempus fugit, il tempo vola e sembra scorrere particolarmente veloce quando siamo in piacevole compagnia…

Quattro anni fa ho iniziato la collaborazione con Franck Muller, il più importante costruttore di pregiati orologi, capolavori nella migliore tradizione svizzera.

Sono da sempre un ammiratore e collezionista degli orologi Franck Muller e sono stato molto felice di iniziare questa collaborazione che mi ha introdotto in un mondo così affascinante.

La nuova collezione che ho disegnato per Franck Muller incorpora gli elementi più importanti e iconici della mia moda, una fusione fra tecnologia, stile, creatività e fashion.

Il tempo è la risorsa più preziosa che ognuno di noi possiede!

Cavalli Home is the collection I created to make your home more beautiful with the colours and the prints of my fashion.

Meticulous research of fabrics and materials. With particular attention to the finest workmanship, by combining fashion with design, I created unique and exclusive items to decorate your home.

In the Cavalli Home collection I embraced the emotions evoked by travels. Places and cultures so different, unique and fascinating for their history, their traditions. Thousands of years of history and culture that have been handed down over the generations are woven into the Cavalli Home collection.

The different combinations of colours, warm and suffused or strong and saturated and very different prints accommodate different areas of your home. Each one has a specific connotation, its precise role. The colours directly affect our moods, our natural lifestyle.

The home is our natural refuge, our nest, the place where we return after a trip and at the end of a long day’s work. The home is the place where we recharge, where we rebuild our energy. The home is that magical place where our children grow up and where one day we will welcome the grandchildren…

Cavalli Home è la collezione che ho creato per impreziosire la vostra casa con i colori e le stampe della mia moda.

Ricerca meticolosa dei tessuti e dei materiali. Una particolare attenzione alle lavorazioni. Combinando fashion e design ho creato oggetti unici ed esclusivi per arredare la vostra casa.

Nella collezione Cavalli Home ho inserito le emozioni dei miei viaggi. Terre e culture così diverse, uniche e affascinanti per la loro storia, per le loro tradizioni. Migliaia di anni di storia e di cultura che si tramandano di generazione in generazione si intrecciano nella collezione Cavalli Home.

I diversi accostamenti dei colori, caldi e soffusi o forti e saturi, così come diverse sono le stampe. Ogni zona della casa assume una sua precisa connotazione, un suo preciso ruolo. Colori che influenzano direttamente il nostro umore, il nostro naturale stile di vita.

La casa è il nostro naturale rifugio, la nostra tana, il luogo dove si ritorna dopo un viaggio, alla fine di una lunga giornata di lavoro. Seychelles, a paradise on earth, a very special mini vacation…

As I explained in my previous post, the “365”, “Travel, discovering new places and learning from cultures so distant from my own has had a very important impact on me through my creative journey.” Traveling to the Seychelles is no exception…

This planet is a wonderful place, in all its remote locations. By exploring it you realize how small we are in front of the greatness of nature, before the greatness of Creation.

After my underwater snorkelling exploration I have devoted most of the time discovering these beautiful places, equipped with my camera and… comfortable shoes.

Flowers and beautiful plants capture my attention with their colours, the seductive patterns of their leaves and their intoxicating perfumes… I understand what attracts the bees.

The times of the day that I prefer are the early morning, when nature awakens, the flowers open preparing for a new day and the late afternoon, when the colours are softer, warmer, when a stirring breeze eases to a zephyr and you can feel a state of calm and a surreal peace.

I met turtles with a venerable age of almost 2 centuries!
But can you imagine that… it would mean for us to meet the great-grandchildren of the great-grandchildren… it would be fantastic, can you imagine navigating entire oceans without maps or compasses… how much we would have to tell…

I promise I will show you more photos of the Seychelles… if you get a chance you must include these places in your future travels.

[:it]370. Un altro Giorno in Paradiso…

Seychelles, paradiso terrestre, una mini vacanza molto speciale…

Come vi ho già raccontato nel mio precedente post “365”, “Viaggiare, scoprire nuovi luoghi, imparare da culture così distanti dalla mia ha avuto un impatto molto importante nel mio percorso creativo.” Questo mio viaggio alle Seychelles non fa eccezione…

Questo nostro pianeta è un luogo meraviglioso, in ogni sua remota località. Esplorandolo ci si rende conto quanto siamo piccoli di fronte alla grandezza della natura, davanti alla grandezza del Creato.

Dopo le mie esplorazioni subacquee ho dedicato la maggior parte del tempo a scoprire questi luoghi, equipaggiato di macchina fotografica e… di comode scarpe.

Fiori e piante bellissime che catturano la mia attenzione con i loro colori, con i disegni seducenti delle foglie e con i loro profumi, inebrianti… capisco perché le api ne sono così attratte.

I momenti della giornata che preferisco sono la prime ore del mattino, quando la natura si risveglia, i fiori si aprono preparandosi ad una nuova giornata e il tardo pomeriggio, quando i colori sono più soffici, più caldi, la brezza diminuisce diventando un leggero zeffiro e si percepisce uno stato di calma e di pace surreale.

Ho incontrato delle tartarughe dalla venerabile età di quasi 2 secoli! Ma vi immaginate… per noi vorrebbe dire poter conoscere i pronipoti dei pronipoti… sarebbe una cosa fantastica, vi immaginate navigare gli oceani senza mappe e bussole… quante cose avremmo da raccontare…

Prometto che vi mostrerò altre foto delle Seychelles… e se ne avete l’occasione dovete includete questi posti nei vostri viaggi futuri.
