351. A Long Seemingly Endless Wait…

The long, interminable wait before a Fashion Show starts comes to an end the very moment pilots call the PNR or point-of-no-return. The point of no return is when you are taking off and it is no longer possible to brake, you must take off at any cost…

My point of no return is that moment that precedes a Fashion Show when you can no longer change the collection, the only possible action is to give maximum power to the engines and take off… you are committed.

The point of no return is always preceded by months and months of work. Sometimes it can happen, when you are creating a collection, that you realize that changing a cut or a colour combination will allow you to make those last minute adjustments to the dresses that will make the collection so special…

The mix of accessories, the sequence on the catwalk, the music, the lights, the location, the invitations… every detail is important and every detail can be changed… but only until the point-of-no-return…

Now is the time to push the engines to maximum power. We are taking off!!!

351. Una Lunga Interminabile Attesa…

La lunga, interminabile attesa che precede ogni sfilata è quel momento che i piloti chiamano PNR o punto-di-non-ritorno. Il punto di non ritorno è quando ci si trova in fase di decollo e non è più possibile frenare, a quel punto bisogna decollare ad ogni costo.

Il mio punto di non ritorno è quel momento che precede una sfilata e non è più possibile modificare la collezione, l’unica azione possibile è dare la massima potenza ai motori e decollare…

Il punto di non ritorno è sempre preceduto da mesi e mesi di lavoro, a volte può capitare di creare una collezione e rendersi conto che cambiando il taglio o gli accostamenti di colore si ottengono quegli abiti che erano destinati a rendere la collezione così speciale…

Gli accostamenti degli accessori, le uscite sulla passerella, la musica, le luci, la location, gli inviti… ogni dettaglio è importante e ogni dettaglio può essere modificato, ma soltanto fino al punto-di-non-ritorno…

È giunto il momento di spingere i motori a massimo, siamo in fase di decollo…

L’appuntamento con la collezione Uomo Autunno/Inverno 2015-16 è per Martedì 20 Gennaio alle ore 12:30 a Palazzo Serbelloni in Corso Venezia 16 a Milano.
