I love to give expression to the life I sense in the fabrics, paint them with the colours of nature in an exclusive tribute to the beauty of woman… It is a collaborative process between the artist and his materials.

Often the difficulty an artist faces is to be able to communicate to the outside what we have inside us…

From the beginning I have always tried to invent new ways to let out my emotions… shaping fabrics and using them as canvases on which to paint… printing on leather as freely as we print on fabric… changing the composition of yarn to develop fabrics so light that they appear to float on air…

I like to use leather together with fabric… to make it a unique material, seamless… senza cuciture.

This collection is a tribute to the beauty, the unique, special, fantastic mystery we admire as a WOMAN…!

Amo dar vita ai tessuti, dipingerli con i colori della natura in un omaggio esclusivo alla bellezza della donna… È un processo creativo tra l’artista e i suoi materiali.

Spesso la difficoltà di un artista sta nel riuscire a trasmettere all’esterno quello che abbiamo al nostro interno…

Fin dagli inizi ho sempre cercato di inventare nuovi metodi per trasferire all’esterno le mie emozioni… plasmare i tessuti e usare gli abiti come tele di quadri… stampare su pelle come fosse tessuto… modificare la composizione dei filati per ottenere tessuti più leggeri dell’aria…

Mi piace accostare la pelle al tessuto… quasi a renderlo un materiale unico, senza cuciture… seamless.

Questa collezione è un omaggio alla vostra bellezza, al vostro modo unico, speciale, fantastico di essere DONNE…!

Like all artistic disciplines, fashion is a constant, evolving process of creation… there is no end to it… it is an on-going process… in pursuit of perfection… in search of the golden ratio… it involves the fabrics, shapes, textures and colours…

Each new collection is a new opportunity… a new challenge… a new exam I have to pass… one that calls into play new emotions.

Tomorrow I will reveal to you the new Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2015 collection…

Ogni nuova collezione è una nuova opportunità… una nuova sfida che chiama in gioco nuove emozioni… un nuovo esame da passare…

316 Just Cavalli, Ibiza Vibes…

Today was a day full of excitement. I’m tired but delighted!

The Spring / Summer 2015 is a collection inspired by Ibiza… sun, colours, peace, fun and many carefree young people…!

Many photos and lots of interviews… many Asian journalists, my fashion has conquered the Far East.

Lights, music and then the models begin their walk along the catwalk… I enjoy watching it from the backrows of the audience from which I like to study people’s reactions in real time as well as enjoying the show itself… I feel their emotions… their honest immediate responses… someone notices me… the show is coming to an end and so I have to go backstage… it’s time for the grand finale…

A round of applause… the flashes… even today, after so many years, being on the catwalk is still for me a highly emotional!

I would like to thanks everybody, not only those who worked so
very, very hard to make this collection a success but also all of you who watched for your honest, emotional reactions…

316. Just Cavalli, Ibiza Vibes…

Oggi è stata una giornata piena di emozioni. Sono stanco ma soddisfatto!

La collezione Primavera/Estate 2015 è una collezione ispirata a Ibiza… sole, colori, pace, divertimento e tanti, tanti giovani spensierati…!

Tante foto e tantissime interviste… moltissimi i giornalisti asiatici, la mia moda ha conquistato l’Estremo Oriente.

Luci, musica e le modelle iniziano la sfilata… mi piace osservare lo spettacolo dalle ultime file della platea e studiare le reazioni della gente in tempo reale… percepisco le loro oneste emozioni… qualcuno mi nota… la sfilata sta volgendo al termine e devo andare dietro le quinte… è il momento del gran finale…

Uno scroscio di applausi… i flash… ancora oggi, dopo tanti anni, salire in passerella è sempre un’emozione!

Vorrei ringraziare tutti, non solo coloro che con il loro impegno hanno reso questa collezione un successo, ma anche tutti voi per i vostri onesti commenti…
