185. Creating Dreamy Dresses for Unforgettable Evenings…

For many years, with the help of my press office in New York, we are trying to dress the Hollywood stars for the red carpet and for the parties held in Los Angeles during the Oscars.

We are getting ready a few months before hand.  Along with my designers, the most likely to conceive the evening dresses, I create a series of dream dresses, not too bold, not too colorful, not too low-cut.

The red carpet requires a certain rigor and the celebrities do not want to show off too much, maybe just to avoid bad luck.

We almost always make advance arrangements with the celebrity’s stylist and, rarely, with the celebrity herself. The stylists are the ones who decide not one’s friendship with the celebrity.

Who is the stylist? A lady with taste and knowledge in fashion who selects and chooses the dresses and gowns to be worn by her celebrity.  The actresses, singers and artists generally do not have the time to choose for themselves.

Unfortunately, until the last moment, we do not know if the dress we have created with so much love for the celebrity will actually be worn.

Disappointments are often more frequent than satisfactions…

Why? Because sometime at the last moment an unscrupulous brand will offer the stylist a cash prize if another dress, even a mediocre one, is worn.

The great actress wears it, confident that in her stylist she has a loyal assistant and friend!

185. Creare Abiti da Sogno per Serate Indimenticabili…

Da molti anni, con l’aiuto del mio ufficio stampa di New York, cerchiamo di vestire le star di Holliwood per il famoso tappeto rosso e per le feste che a Los Angeles ruotano attorno agli Oscar del cinema.

Iniziamo a prepararci già qualche mese prima. Insieme con i miei stylist, i più adatti a concepire abiti da sera, creo una serie di vestiti da sogno, mai troppo audaci, mai troppo colorati, mai troppo scollati.

Il tappeto rosso esige un certo rigore e molte star non desiderano mettersi troppo in mostra, magari solo per scaramanzia.

Quasi sempre prendiamo accordi preventivi con gli stylist e, raramente, con l’attrice stessa. L’amicizia non conta, chi decide è la stylist.

Chi è la stylist? È una ragazza provvista di un certo gusto che seleziona e sceglie gli abiti per una star. Le attrici, le cantanti e le artiste in genere non hanno tempo per scegliere da sole.

Purtroppo, fino all’ultimo istante, non sappiamo se l’abito che abbiamo creato con tanto amore per quell’attrice sarà effettivamente indossato.

Sono più le delusioni delle soddisfazioni…

Perché? Perché magari all’ultimo momento arriva un brand senza scrupoli che offre alla stylist un abito mediocre e un premio in denaro qualora l’abito sarà indossato.

La grande attrice lo indossa, sicura di avere nella propria stylist un’assistente e un’amica leale!
