Roberto Cavalli to Open First Japan Flagship Store

Roberto Cavalli Flagship Store Ayoama - Tokyo

Roberto Cavalli Flagship Store Ayoama - Tokyo

Roberto Cavalli is pleased to announce the upcoming opening of the brand’s first ever Flagship Store in Japan, after two years presence in the Japanese market with five shops in the main Department Stores.
The new Flagship Store is scheduled to open to the public in mid September, located in the exclusive Aoyama quarter, renowned for its location as Tokyo’s focal point of fashion and style.
It is foreseen that at the beginning of November Roberto Cavalli will travel to Japan to celebrate with a large event the opening of this important point of sale, which will be the reference point for all the activities of the Roberto Cavalli Group in Japan.
A two-story structure with a surface area of 300 squared meters, the Aoyama boutique will embody the modern elegance and glamour of the Cavalli world, and will represent the Maison’s innovative “global fashion store” concept, such as is already the case with the others flagship stores in the major cities of the world such as Milan, Paris, London, New York and Las Vegas.
The Japanese boutique will host the women’s and men’s prêt-à-porter collections, as well as the accessories, eyewear, time-wear and underwear collections. The layout of the space has been carefully designed in such a way to emphasize the various product categories present in the boutique.
The ground floor will be dedicated to accessories: handbags, small leather goods, belts, eyewear, jewelry, watches, and menswear. The first floor will be dedicated primarily to womenswear, eveningwear, shoes, and accessories, and will also feature a special VIP room, complete with unique evening dresses.
The boutique has been created using the finest materials, many of which are produced in Italy exclusively for Roberto Cavalli. The boutique’s exterior façade will feature a Domasco patterned glass illuminated from within.
The entirety of the boutique uses a special flooring of dark brown quartzite mixed with crystal dust and presents central areas made of walnut parquet mosaic floor inlay which provides a spectacular centerpiece surrounded by brass, silver, and glass edging, complimented by rugs in dark brown pony.
Walls of ivory stucco and dark brown stucco are highlighted with gold tones, and exceptional crystal display cases are illuminated with backlit framing. Ottomans and armchairs are upholstered in dark brown aged leather and leather printed in python. The evening collection area and VIP room on the first floor features walls adorned with platinum leafing, and offers a private and luxurious space for customers to receive exclusive service.
“Tokyo is on the world’s stage of fashion, glamour, and sophistication. This is a city of energy and inspiration,” said Roberto Cavalli. “I wanted to create a boutique in which elegance dominates, for both women and for men, in a welcoming and exclusive atmosphere, in which each person can totally fulfill their dreams and desires. I have always been extremely interested in Japanese culture, and I’m looking forward to come back to Tokyo to celebrate our new boutique together.”
2010 marked the 40 year anniversary of Roberto Cavalli as a brand, with stores now open in 25 countries around the world.
