147. A New Just Cavalli Boutique in Soho.

This brand, Just Cavalli, is having a great success! It is regaining the ground lost due to the failure of the previous licensee.

This latest collection for summer 2013 had an increase in sales of 34 percent. I’ve dedicated myself more than ever… I felt young… creating this collection with a lot of grit for the young!

One of the important reasons for my trip to New York is to visit the space that will house the future JUST CAVALLI boutique. It is located on West Broadway before Spring Street. I know this space well. Until a few months ago there was the D&G boutique, the brand abandoned by Dolce & Gabbana.

I took a lot of photos. The place is in excellent condition. I’ll start the project immediately with my young architects. I would like to open it up and have a big opening party this February, during the New York Fashion Week.

Immediately after that I went for lunch at MICHAEL’S, a good restaurant on 55th between Fifth and Sixth Avenue, in company with Glenda Bailey, the great editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar and its highly respected fashion editors Laura Brown and Nicole Fritton.

I’d give Glenda the Palm of Sympathy of American Fashion and to Laura and Nicole great recognition for their sexy charm! As you can imagine it was a very enjoyable and memorable lunch!

Soon after I ran home to prepare my luggage. At 6.30pm Cristiano and Massimo Veneziano will take me to my boutique on Madison Avenue where 50 beautiful ladies, great clients and fans, are waiting for me to attend a small fashion show. I will host with my good friend Hal Rubenstein, director of InStyle!

Immediately after the meeting with my wonderful fans I run to the airport to take the British Airways night flight to London!

I hope that my pictures allow you to live with me my three days in New York…

147. Una Nuova Boutique Just Cavalli a Soho.

Questo mio brand Just Cavalli sta ottenendo un grande successo! Sta recuperando il terreno che ha perso a causa del fallimento del precedente licenziatario.

Quest’ultima collezione per l’estate 2013 ha avuto un incremento di vendite del 34 per cento. Mi ci sono dedicato come non mai… mi sono sentito giovane… creare con tanta grinta una collezione per i giovani!

Uno dei motivi importanti del mio viaggio è la visita allo spazio che ospiterà la futura boutique JUST CAVALLI. Si trova sulla West Broadway prima di Spring Street. Questo spazio lo conosco bene, fino a pochi mesi fa c’era il negozio di D&G, il marchio abbandonato da Dolce e Gabbana.

Ho fatto tantissime foto, è in ottime condizioni. Incomincerò subito il progetto con i miei giovani architetti. Desidero aprirlo e fare una gran festa d’inaugurazione a febbraio durante la settimana della moda di New York.

Subito dopo vado per lunch da MICHAEL’S, un buon ristorante sulla 55 fra la quinta e la sesta avenue in compagnia di Glenda Bailey, la grande editor-in-chief di Harper’s Bazaar e le sue bravissime fashion editor Laura Brown e Nicole Fritton.

Darei a Glenda la palma della simpatia della moda americana e a Laura e Nicole un gran riconoscimento al loro fascino sexy! Come vi potete immaginare è stato un lunch molto divertente e speciale!

Poi, di corsa a casa a preparare i bagagli. Alle 18,30 Cristiano e Massimo Veneziano mi accompagnano al mio negozio in Madison Avenue dove 50 belle signore, mie fans e ottime clienti, mi aspettano per assistere a un piccolo défilé che presento con il mio grande amico Hal Rubenstein, direttore di InStyle!

Terminato il meeting con le mie belle fans corro all’aeroporto per prendere il volo notturno della British Airways che mi porterà a Londra!

Mi auguro che le foto vi facciano rivivere insieme a me le tre giornate che ho passato a New York…

Vi mando un bacio enorme, miei grandi amici!

Marchionne’s statement about Florence shocked and upset me.

“THE WORD OF RENZI SHOULD NOT BE LISTENED TO… HE IS THE MAYOR OF A SMALL AND POOR TOWN!”

Speaking against a fine mayor of a fine city this comment is a sad reflection on Marchionne personally and as the head of the largest and most important industry in Italy.

Renzi, a truly great man, just smiled!

SMALL? POOR? Florence, as a Capital of Art and Culture is world class and has enjoyed a reputation as such for centuries!

Firenze OUR MOTHER TONGUE WAS BORN HERE IN FLORENCE! Our great artists have shaped the history of art for generations!

It is a great pity that Mr. Marchionne remains so out of touch, so unaware of this.

Fiat, the former great company that he manages is POOR in ideas, they have had to resort to an old idea, the Fiat 500, to find a “vecchia novità”.

The famous “AUTO BLUE” is German. Fiat has failed to create a great car that meets the requirements of the Italian government – the major consumer of “AUTO BLUE”!

The Fiat name represents a great Italian tradition. It should remain in Italy and contribute to the industrial renaissance of Italy by developing research and design here. If there is a real poverty it is a serious lack of imagination.

Italy does not need any outside help, just trust and an honest, competent government!

I want to go back to being proud to be born in my great Italy. A great country now mired in the ambitions of power and money!

In the meantime we must be close and support one another and help to rebuild our country.

ITALY HAS NOW THE DEVASTATION OF A STRONG EARTHQUAKE!

The help received from text-message donations is not enough. Those who have more than they need… need to help and share what they have with those who do not have sufficient means to live!

The results could be of great satisfaction to us all. Sacrifice can give great pleasure if you love life, if you believe in God and if you’re a true socialist!

It would be wonderful to make history, to feel part of the change that such sacrifices could make!

If an honest, well-managed government asks me to make sacrifices for the good of my Italian brothers, I’m here!

144. Firenze è la Città più Ricca di Arte e Amore…

L’affermazione di Marchionne su Firenze mi ha scioccato e turbato.

Parlando contro il sindaco Renzi ha detto la più grande bestialità per un uomo di cultura come lui, anche riguardo alla posizione che occupa nella più grande e importante industria italiana!

“LA PAROLA DI RENZI NON DOVREBBE ESSERE ASCOLTATA… È SINDACO DI UNA PICCOLA E POVERA CITTÀ!”

Renzi è stato un gran signore, ha solo sorriso!

PICCOLA? Firenze è “GRANDE” che più grande non si può! Capitale di arte e cultura…! POVERA? Firenze è la più ricca città al mondo! Ricca di ARTE di STUDIO e di PENSIERO.

Firenze LA NOSTRA MADRE LINGUA È NATA A FIRENZE! Così come la maggior parte dei più grandi artisti che hanno fatto la storia dell’arte!

Il signor Marchionne è “POVERO” di cultura!
Purtroppo è anche povero di fantasia, e creativa industriale!

La Fiat, la ex grande società che lui amministra è POVERA di idee, hanno dovuto ricorrere ad una vecchia idea, la 500 per trovare una “vecchia novità”.

Le famose “AUTO BLU” sono tedesche, perché non ha creato una grande auto in grado di soddisfare il governo italiano, grande consumatore di AUTO BLU!?

La Fiat è una grande tradizione italiana, deve restare in Italia ed estendersi in tutto il paese, sviluppando la ricerca tecnica e artistica per essere all’altezza della grande rinascita ITALIANA!

L’Italia non avrebbe bisogno di nessun aiuto esterno, solo di fiducia e di un governo onesto!

Voglio tornare a essere fiero di essere nato nella mia grande Italia. Un grande paese infangato dalle ambizioni di potere e di denaro!

In questo momento dobbiamo essere vicini ed aiutarci per ricostruire. L’ITALIA HA SUBITO LA DEVASTAZIONE DI UN FORTE TERREMOTO! Non bastano gli SMS per ricostruire. Chi ha tanto… chi ha di più del necessario… deve aiutare e dividere ciò che ha con chi non ha i mezzi sufficienti per vivere!

I risultati potrebbero essere di grande soddisfazione. Il sacrificio può dare un gran piacere se ami la vita, se credi in Dio e se sei un vero socialista !

Sarebbe meraviglioso fare la storia, sentirsi parte del cambiamento con il proprio sacrificio!

Se un onesto governo mi chiedesse sacrifici per il bene dei miei fratelli italiani, io ci sono!

I refer to my first collection of high quality watches manufactured in the wonderful Franck Muller atelier.

I should have dared and given more space to the Cavalli animal print logo and pushed my thinking: “the excess is my success…!”

A beautiful collection that has received the compliments of all the agents of the Franck Muller maison and the wealthy ladies invited to the big event!

The evening was “magnificent”, as was Franck and the entire organization, impeccable. The most beautiful room in the Hotel de Paris had been carefully decorated for the evening and for the dinner.

There were over 500 guests. I was charmed when Franck Muller introduced me to all the guests with wonderful words expressing his admiration!

Rachele – Joseph – Stephanie – Daniele

I am happy. To my right, Eva, more beautiful than ever in a Cavalli’s tuxedo that enhances her charm and her great elegance. To my left, my daughter Rachele, she is wearing a long dress with black sequin embroidery that wraps the body cleverly forming the silhouette of a hungry crocodile! My son Daniele, the youngest member of our family in our company, with his beautiful girlfriend Stephanie.

Next to Eva is Frank Muller in the company of his young and beautiful wife, then Mrs. Monika Bacardi, wife of the emperor of alcoholic drinks. Carol Ascher an elegant lady who belongs to the most special and wealthy family of Geneva adding to the lustre of our table.

Three rock singers, a great classical pianist and a magician who blew a piano while he played frantically! An evening of fun – full of great energy!

GRAND FINALE with a big cake to celebrate and say out loud HAPPY BIRTHDAY EVA! A great chorus of good wishes… Eva was pleasantly surprised. Her sweet smile expressed all her joy.

143. La mia Prima Collezione di Diamanti…

Mi riferisco alla mia prima collezione di orologi di alto livello prodotti nel meraviglioso atelier di Franck Muller.

Avrei dovuto azzardare, dare maggiormente spazio al logo Cavalli animalier e spingere il mio pensiero: ” l’eccesso e il mio successo…!”

Una bella collezione che ha riscosso i complimenti di tutti gli agenti della maison Franck Muller e delle ricche signore invitate per il grande evento!

La serata è stata “magnifica”, come magnifico e stato Franck e tutta l’organizzazione, impeccabile. La più bella sala dell’Hotel de Paris è stata sapientemente addobbata per la serata e per la cena.

Gli invitati erano oltre 500. Mi sono emozionato quando Franck Muller mi ha presentato a tutti gli invitati con meravigliose parole che esprimevano la sua ammirazione!

Sono felice, alla mia destra, Eva, più bella di sempre in un tuxedo Cavalli che valorizza il suo charme e la sua grande eleganza. Alla mia sinistra, mia figlia Rachele che indossa un abito lungo nero con un ricamo di paillettes che fascia sapientemente il corpo formando la siluette di un coccodrillo famelico! Mio figlio Daniele, il ragazzo di casa Cavalli, in compagnia della sua bella fidanzata, Stephanie.

Alla destra di Eva, Frank Muller in compagnia della bella e giovane moglie, la signora Monika Bacardi, moglie dell’imperatore degli alcolici. Carol Ascher una elegante signora che appartiene alla famiglia più speciale e ricca di Ginevra completavano il nostro tavolo rendendolo importante… divertente… bellissimo!

Tre cantanti rock, un grande pianista di musica classica e un illusionista che faceva volare un pianoforte mentre lo suonava freneticamente! Una serata molto divertente e carica di grande energia!

GRAN FINALE con una grande torta per festeggiare e urlare BUON COMPLEANNO EVA! Un grande coro di auguri… Eva era emozionata, il suo dolce sorriso esprimeva tutta la sua gioia.
