127. Balearic… Ibiza…

Sailing across the Mediterranean was nice and quiet. We sighted the coast after six hours of sailing. The first stop was Mahon, a small Minorcan port.

The next morning we slowly skirted the island admiring its’ beauty before sailing on to Majorca…

The sea was very rough, Rosa had not yet given birth, I was concerned that the constant shaking would cause a premature birth…

Balearic Islands

Our arrival at a very nice and well organized port relaxed us… We ended the evening at a great sushi restaurant!

The next morning we left at 8 am. I headed the bow in the direction of Ibiza! I know the port and the city very well, I spent a few days there five years ago with my big boat, the one that changes color, the one that makes me look “arricchito”… the one whose design and every stage of construction gave me so much pleasure and satisfaction!

New friends from Minorca

Getting to Ibiza is fascinating… getting there in my black bat-zodiac… my only help is my passion for adventure… my enthusiasm makes me feel like a “ragazzo di mare…”

Beppe Ronco, a close friend of mine from Turin, is waiting for us at the dock mooring. It is a nice surprise… the affection of a friend sweetens life… and Beppe is a very exceptional person.

Beppe shows me the program for the evening. Ibiza offers the best to those who wants to spend an especially enjoyable evening!

Minorca

Many friends are waiting for me in a fantastic restaurant in the countryside outside Ibiza. The owner is a fan of my work and she was very excited to see me. She showed her admiration with many small special tasting dishes of Spanish cuisine. So much of everything… food… drink… laughing like kids on school holidays…

Palma de Mallorca

Of course we spent the rest of the evening at the “Pacha”… one of the most “IN” nightclubs in the world… where the most famous DJ alternates with great performances.

It was a surprise when Paolo Zampolli invited us to finish the evening at the Pacha. He had already arranged a table for us and, the table is one of the best!

Paolo knows everyone and everything… he likes to be seen… he is always with of beautiful models! He calls them “public relations”!

The music was beautiful… I could not sit still… I wanted to dance on the tables.. dancing has always been one of my dreams… dancing like a pro and being able to perform! Probably my passion for dancing is due to the fact that I love music!

I looked around… the place is not as special as they say it is. I expected to see lots of stars… many “strafighe” [beautiful women]… so many people looking at me… some asked to be photographed with me.

The lighting effects were really special, alternating the dark to colored effects lights that changed every few seconds… the music is the queen who commands and directs all these great effects!

I love to watch… the style… the habits… the clothes… I would like do it without being seen… sometimes, when I’m in a place that is not part of my world, I’m shy!

I hope I have described in full my new emotions….

Un bacino grande a tutti…

I LOVE YOU

La traversata è stata tranquilla. Abbiamo avvistato la costa dopo sei ore di navigazione. La prima tappa l’abbiamo fatta a Mahon, un piccolo porto di Minorca.

La mattina seguente abbiamo costeggiato l’isola, lentamente, per ammirarne tutta la bellezza prima di affrontare un’altra attraversata e raggiungere Majorca.

Il mare era molto mosso, Rosa non aveva ancora partorito, temevo che i continui sbattimenti potessero causarle un parto prematuro…

L’arrivo in un porto molto bello e ben organizzato ci ha rilassato… Abbiamo concluso la serata in un ottimo ristorante di sushi!

La mattina seguente partenza alle 8. La prua in direzione di Ibiza! Conosco il porto e la città, ci ho trascorso qualche giorno cinque anni fa con la mia barca grande, quella che cambia colore… quella che mi fa apparire un “arricchito”… quella che mi ha dato tanto piacere e soddisfazione nel disegnarla e seguirne tutte le fasi della costruzione!

Arrivare ad Ibiza è affascinante… esserci arrivato con il mio bat-gommone nero con il solo aiuto della mia passione per l’avventura e del mio entusiasmo mi ha fatto sentire ancora un “ragazzo di mare”…

Beppe Ronco, un caro amico di Torino, ci stava aspettando sulla banchina. È stata una bella sorpresa! L’affetto di un amico addolcisce la vita… e Beppe è una persona particolarmente eccezionale.

Beppe mi ha esposto il programma della serata, Ibiza offre il massimo per chi desidera trascorrere una serata speciale e divertente!

Minorca

Tanti amici mi aspettavano in un ristorante fantastico, fuori Ibiza, in campagna. La proprietaria è una mia fan ed era molto eccitata di incontrarmi. Mi ha dimostrato la sua ammirazione con tanti piccoli assaggi speciali della cucina spagnola. Tanto di tutto… mangiare… bere… ridere come ragazzi in vacanza scolastica…

Naturalmente abbiamo trascorso il resto della serata al “Pacha”… una delle discoteche più IN al mondo… dove si alternano i più famosi DJ con grandi performances.

È stata una sorpresa, quando Paolo Zampolli ci ha invitato a finire la serata al Pacha. Aveva già organizzato un tavolo, conoscendo Paolo, sicuramente uno dei migliori del locale!

Paolo conosce tutti e tutto… gli piace apparire, sempre in compagnia di bellissime modelle! Lui le chiama “pubbliche relazioni”!

La musica era bellissima… non potevo stare fermo… avrei voluto ballare sui tavoli… è sempre stato uno dei miei sogni… ballare bene e poterlo dimostrare a tutti! Probabilmente la mia passione per il ballo è dovuta al fatto che adoro la musica!

Mi guardavo intorno, il locale non era poi così speciale come lo descrivono, mi aspettavo di vedere tante star… tantissime “strafighe”… niente di speciale intorno a me… tante persone che mi guardavano, alcuni di loro si sono fatti coraggio e mi hanno chiesto di farsi fotografare con me!

Gli effetti di luci erano veramente particolari, alternavano il buio completo ad effetti di luce coloratissimi che cambiavano in pochi attimi… la musica era la regina che comandava e dirigeva tutti questi fantastici effetti!

Amo guardare… lo stile… le abitudini… gli abiti… e vorrei farlo senza essere visto… talvolta, quando mi trovo in un luogo che non fa parte del mio mondo, sono timido!

Spero di avervi descritto in modo completo le mie nuove emozioni…
