Roberto Cavalli dresses Laura Pausini for her World TourRoberto Cavalli dresses Laura Pausini for her World Tour
We are pleased to announce that Roberto Cavalli has designed the outfits for the famous Italian singer Laura Pausini’s World Tour, which will begin on 22 December 2011 in Milan, and will continue with dates in all the world’s most important cities.
The tour follows the launch of the new album ‘Inedito’, which has already scaled the international charts.
The designer says “I have always admired Laura’s passion, drive and energy. She is a woman with great personality, capable of conveying strong emotion with the power of her voice. Laura is like my fashion: energetic, vibrant and positive…and for this reason I was very happy to create the clothing for this, her important musical comeback.
When we met I wanted that she would tell me herself what the show would be like, the emotions that she was feeling and what it was she wanted to convey through her songs. Then I began to think about how I could transmit this with my fashion. The result is astounding, you will see!”
The concert is made up of different moments, one passes from the energy of the rock to the more melodic pieces. It is a show in which Laura shows every side of herself: her drive and her energy, but also her soul, introspective and fragile.
The garments that I created are a part of the performance: every change of outfit corresponds to a change in the scenography…a surprising and harmonic union!
All of the garments have a strong stage presence.
Rigourous and rich the armour top with embroidered body, an anatomic concept in antique golden tones paired with golden-infused trousers.
The edgy suit made up of trousers and gilet on which the embroidered panels were expertly hand-treated by skilled artisans with python, crocodile and also partly in nappa leather, joined with long suede fringe.
Another impressive number is the look composed of a black jacket with a satin collar, paired with a black lurex jumpsuit with pavè and black Swarovsky crystal embroidery.
A seductive dress embroidered with all-over paillettes which outline an animalier design in bronze tones that fade to midnight blue at the base. The dress, created with the closing of the concert in mind, is characterised with important straps in precious glass cannette encrusted straps with a 3D effect.
Bold accessories such as bracelets and black metal shine chokers, multi-chain necklaces and crystal rings complete all of the outfits.
