139. What Anxiety… What Emotion… What a SUCCESS!
The fashion show is over and the adrenaline is forsaking me and with it the anxiety. The excitement supports me and gives me all the strength and determination I need to be brilliant… funny… to answer journalists’ questions with charm and confidence!
Until this morning I was nervous that some dresses were not as I wished, and at such a time it is not possible to take a misstep. How will the journalists and customers accept my collection – mainly in black and white with soft and delicate colors? A major change for CAVALLI.
At the end of the fashion show, as always, I meet friends and clients at the entrance of the stage. I look forward to their reactions and comments. The American buyers and the presidents of Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus were among the first to embrace and compliment me for this “Great” collection… followed by all the others.
Many television stations want to continue their interviews. The first part of their interviews took place before the fashion show began, when my adrenaline was high… when I responded to all their questions, even the silly ones, with a smile…

Ho dormito tutto il giorno. Dopo la sfilata l’adrenalina mi ha abbandonato, l’ansia, l’eccitazione mi sostenevano e mi davano tutta la forza e la grinta necessaria per essere brillante… divertente… per rispondere alle domande dei giornalisti con charme e sicurezza!
Fino a questa mattina ero nervoso, certi capi non erano come avrei desiderato e in questi momento non è possibile fare un passo falso. Come accetteranno i giornalisti e i clienti una sfilata prevalentemente in bianco e nero, con colori soft e delicati? Un forte cambiamento per CAVALLI.
A fine sfilata, come sempre, ricevo amici e clienti all’ingresso dello stage, aspettavo con ansia le reazioni e i commenti. I compratori americani e i presidenti di Sacks e Neiman Marcus sono stati fra i primi ad abbracciarmi e a complimentarsi per la “Grande” sfilata… seguiti da tutti gli altri.
Molte televisioni hanno voluto continuare a riprendermi… la prima parte delle interviste era avvenuta prima della sfilata, quando la mia adrenalina era al massimo, quando dovevo rispondere anche alle domande più sciocche, con un sorriso compiacente…
