155. Maldives… Just Relax!
155. Maldives … Just Relax!
Hundreds, perhaps thousands of atolls in a sea of incredible colors!
Malé is the capital. It is the only city in this great archipelago populated by a multitude of islands.
We chose the island where the Four Seasons Hotel is located. This is a beautiful structure with five restaurants and one hundred and twenty bungalows on the beach.
Arriving at the island is fun. A red and white seaplane is the taxi for the hotel guests. I had never landed on the water before. It was a fun new experience!
There are many ways to spend the day… the most special is snorkeling and spending some time in different parts of the island spying on the tropical fish…
The Maldives is protected by one of the most beautiful coral reefs, and so it is wonderful to dive and admire the thousands of different species of fish… brilliantly colorful!
Because of my two broken ribs I have had to take refuge in the Maldives, leaving my programmed adventures in the north of Australia behind me. I therefore had to leave behind many sporting activities such as windsurfing and Jet Skiing…
I spend my days lying in the sun, and in the water with a mask, fins and a small waterproof camera… a lot of enjoyable diving!
The seabed makes me dream. We dive into a world we know but that is not ours. It is a world we enter gently, as if asking the permission of its colorful inhabitants!
The past three days have flown by. The thought of my next collections has not let me fully relax my mind!
The red and white seaplane is taking me back to Malé. In two hours I will be on the plane flying towards Italy. This evening I will hug Lupo.
Tomorrow I shall transfer all the colors I have in my eyes to my fabrics…
I LOVE YOU

155. Maldive… Solo Relax!
È divertente arrivare all’isola.
L’idrovolante bianco e rosso mi sta riportando a Malè.
I LOVE YOU

154. In a Few Days… Will Be 72!
When I’m on a plane, I like to look out of the window… the vast blue sea… the immensity! A unit of measure without end… my thoughts turn to infinite time, to eternity! As a young man when I was thinking of “the afterlife…” I tried to divert my mind… eternity upset me!
Have you seen the wonderful film “Wild Strawberries”? It is a black and white film by Ingmar Bergman. It is the story of an old professor who, after living a rigid life bound by a sense of duty, is forced to confront the emptiness of his existence… strict with himself and with others! He is invited to Stockholm to receive a major prize at the end of his career. During the long drive he is forced to rethink his whole life… including the relationship with his wife and children. He examines his conscience to see if he really deserves an award for how he has lived his life. He realizes that he has been too stern, too selfish and has demanded too much from himself and from others!
153. Maybe… this is the End of my Australian Adventure…
The next morning, very early, a guide takes us in a big SUV to a place deep in the forest. Kangaroos… kangaroos… and more kangaroos… nothing else! From the smallest to the biggest… there are many various types. A unique and interesting animal. I didn’t know that their meat is part of the Australian cuisine! I refused to taste it…
Before returning to the hotel the guide takes us to visit a farm where they are breeding Koalas. Lots of Koalas… they sleep twenty hours a day and when they wake up they make love.
