297. We have a new designer, her name is Maria Eva…

Pitti Bimbo is the fashion event in Florence entirely dedicated to our young angels…

The 79th edition was held on June 26 to 28, immediately after the Milano Fashion Show.

The Cavalli Junior and Cavalli New Born collections are lovingly curated by Eva with the support of a new designer… our granddaughter, Maria Eva!

Maria Eva has a natural talent and loves to draw… she has a real passion for colours… Sometimes, while I watch her so immersed in her creations, the words of Pablo Picasso comes to my mind… “It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a lifetime to paint like a child”.

Children have the ability to transfer emotions to their designs… no filters… no alterations… if you want to know their emotions give them a piece of paper and some colours…

Designing a collection for children is not an easy task… children have their own taste already and they are very strict judges…

Our grandchildren are our special advisers… with Eva we are having fun dressing them in our new creations… we carefully observe their reactions and we listen to their words of advice…

Children have an incredible fashion-sense approach… they know perfectly how to match colours and always choose the perfect attire without being influenced…

I would like to become a child again… even just for a day…!

Pitti Bimbo è l’evento che si svolge a Firenze ed è interamente dedicato alia moda per i nostri giovani angeli…

La 79 edizione si è svolta dal 26 al 28 Giugno, subito dopo la sfilata dedicata all’uomo.

La collezione Cavalli Junior e Cavalli New Born è amorevolmente curata da Eva con il supporto di una nuova designer… la nostra nipotina, Maria Eva!

Maria Eva ha talento naturale, adora disegnare… ha una vera passione per i colori… a volte, mentre la guardo cosi immersa nelle sue creazioni, mi vengono in mente le parole di Pablo Picasso… “Ho impiegato quattro anni per imparare a dipingere come Raffaello, ma una vita intera per imparare a dipingere come un bambino”.

I bambini hanno la capacità di trasferire le emozioni nei loro disegni… senza filtri… senza alterazioni… se volete conoscere le loro emozioni dategli un foglio di carta e dei colori…

Disegnare una collezione per bambini non è semplice… fin da piccini hanno già i loro gusti e sono dei giudici molto severi…

I nostri nipotini sono i nostri consulenti speciali… con Eva ci sbizzarriamo a vestirli con le nostre nuove creazioni… osserviamo con attenzione le loro reazioni e ascoltiamo i loro consigli…

I bambini hanno un fashion-sense incredibilmente sviluppato… sanno accostare perfettamente i colori e scelgono sempre l’abbigliamento perfetto senza farsi condizionare…

Vorrei ritornare bambino… anche solo per un giorno…!

296. Fashion Rock Star!

Yesterday was a great day… long… full of emotions… full of affection…. friends… photos? a ton… many interviews and much more…

The Dream Factory, for one day, became the “Fabbrica del Vapore” – Steam Factory…

Just a few minutes to go… complete chaos… a bustle of people rushing… models… assistants… hairdressers… make-up artists… photographers…

The final touch is the license plate of my Ferrari Daytona… I take a sheet of paper and write LOVE… perfect!

The lights dim down… now it is completely dark… the buzz becomes a surreal silence… then… the roar of the engine, the unmistakable 12 cylinder Ferrari… the music, the references are to the 70s and 80s… the reflectors are lit on the first models who seem to come from a spacecraft that has traveled back in time…

It’s the new Roberto Cavalli Uomo! Colorful… elegant… a man who returns to the origins, to that elegance of another era… a charming man… the Renaissance Man of men’s fashion!

The models take turns on the catwalk with a brisk pace. From the last row I watch the spontaneous reactions of the audience.. I can feel their positive judgment… nine fast but seemingly endless minutes… months of work culminating in just nine minutes… but these nine minutes are special, very special to me… I perceive a new atmosphere of positivity being created in the room… everybody is focused on my new creations…

I cannot tell you how important this day is for me. I explain to journalists my concept of men’s fashion… my vision that goes through a life entirely dedicated to my passion for the shapes and colors… fabrics… prints… a life I spend constantly re-inventing fashion…

The Ferrari Daytona has his own story… I bought it in the U.S. and I bring it back to Italy. Carefully and lovingly restored, I also had to revert to its original color, the electric blue. The previous owner had decided to change its color…

296. Fashion Rock Star!

Ieri è stata una giornata fantastica… lunga… colma di emozioni… piena di affetto…. amici… foto, tante… interviste, tantissime…

La Fabbrica dei sogni, per un giorno, si è spostata presso la Fabbrica del Vapore…

Mancano pochi minuti all’inizio della sfilata… caos completo… un via vai di persone indaffaratissime… modelli… assistenti… truccatori… parrucchieri… fotografi…

L’ultimo tocco è la targa della mia Ferrari Daytona… prendo un foglio di carta e ci scrivo LOVE… ora è perfetta!

Le luci si spengono… buio completo… il brusio diventa un silenzio surreale… poi… un rombo di motore, l’inconfondibile 12 cilindri Ferrari… la musica, i riferimenti sono agli anni ’70 ‘80… i riflettori si accendono sui primi modelli che sembrano uscire da una navicella che ha viaggiato indietro nel tempo…

È il nuovo Uomo Roberto Cavalli! Colorato… elegante… un Uomo che ritorna alle origini, a quell’eleganza di altri tempi… un uomo affascinante… è il Rinascimento della moda maschile!

I modelli si avvicendano sulla passerella con un ritmo serrato. Osservo dall’ultima fila le reazioni dei presenti… devo percepire il loro giudizio positivo… nove minuti che passano velocissimi ma al tempo stesso interminabili… mesi di lavoro che culminano in soli nove minuti… ma questi sono nove minuti speciali, molto speciali per me… percepisco un’atmosfera di positività che si sta creando in sala… tutti sono concentrati sulle mie nuove creazioni…

Oggi è per me un grande giorno, spiego ai giornalisti il mio concetto di moda maschile… la mia visione che passa attraverso una vita interamente dedicata alla mia grande passione per le forme e i colori… i tessuti… le stampe… reinventando costantemente la moda…

La Ferrari Daytona ha tutta una sua storia… l’ho comprata negli Stati Uniti e l’ho riportata in Italia, era un po’ malconcia e ho dovuto anche provvedere al ripristino del suo colore originale, il blue elettrico. Il precedente proprietario aveva deciso di cambiargli colore…

295. Milan, an entire week dedicated to Men’s Collections…

I have just finished the styling for the Uomo Fashion Show on June 24… It was a long day but I am delighted…

I personally took care of the Uomo Collection with the love we reserve for those times when passion drives us and takes us by the hand… in a sweet but precise way… it illumines the road… it traces the path…

Visions… dreams… colours … fabrics … suddenly, as if by magic, everything materializes… every element finds its precise place… its perfect form… its right colour…

This is the magic of creativity… creativity that takes its cue from an image, a journey, a love, from the observation of nature itself, its shapes… its colours…

It starts with the first sketches on a white sheet, a few pencil strokes… the idea takes shape… then you go to the computer, test the patterns, then you add the colours…

Skilled seamstresses transform the dream into reality by interpreting the language of creativity… they give life to the fabrics… the dresses take shape, they move as if driven by a palpable energy…

The first dresses of the new collection are ready to be worn… it’s a special moment… almost a ritual that takes place behind closed doors…

Take a little fabric off here… make that jacket a little longer… change those buttons…

Those are the finishing touches… like the last brush stroke to a new masterpiece… these are my works of art… you do not hang them on a wall, you are wearing them…

295. Milano, una settimana interamente dedicate all’Uomo…

Ho appena terminato lo styling per la sfilata del 24 Giugno…
È stata una giornata lunga ma sono molto soddisfatto…

Ho curato personalmente questa collezione con l’amore che si dedica alle cose preziose, con quella passione che ci guida e ci prende per mano… in modo dolce ma preciso… ci illumina la strada… ci traccia il percorso…

Visioni… sogni… colori… tessuti… improvvisamente, come per magia, tutto si materializza… ogni elemento trova la sua precisa collocazione… la sua forma perfetta… il giusto colore…

Questa è la magia della creatività… una creatività che prende lo spunto da un’immagine, da un viaggio, da un amore, dall’osservazione della natura, delle sue forme… dei suoi colori…

Si inizia con i primi schizzi su un foglio bianco, pochi tratti a matita… l’idea prende forma… si passa poi al computer, si testano i pattern, si aggiunge il colore…

Abili sarte trasformano il sogno in realtà interpretando il linguaggio della creatività… riescono a dare vita ai tessuti… gli abiti prendono forma, si muovono come spinti da una impalpabile energia…

I primi modelli della nuova collezione sono pronti per essere indossati… è un momento speciale… quasi un rito che si svolge a porte chiuse…

Stringi un po’ qui… allunga quella giacca… cambiamo quei bottoni…

Sono gli ultimi ritocchi… le ultime pennellate per un nuovo capolavoro… queste sono le mie opere d’arte… non si appendono a un muro, si indossano…

Domani vi svelerò queste mie opere d’arte.
