Rachele has always had a passion for bags since she was a little girl. I remember how she spent hours playing with Eva’s bags and from Eva she inherited her passion for fashion accessories…

A passion that has grown over time, I believe that today her shoe collection is more than 250 pairs… all organized in their respective boxes with a picture on each box. Together we share a passion in collecting watches…

For Rachele it was then a natural path for her to start taking care of the Cavalli accessory lines once she started work.
I admire her dedication and creativity… the love and passion she puts into every new project… always so attentive to the new trends. Growing up in such an artistic city like Florence has certainly helped her to develop her artistic skills… her natural sense of aesthetics…

When Rachele told me about the Psychotic Love project I was immediately conquered…

Rachele has completely curated the artistic direction of Psychotic Love, from concept to storyboard to the final implementation.
All photos were taken at my home in Florence where, in the past, we shot many campaigns, but the colors and the framings of Psychotic Love are absolutely unique!

I do not know how she is able to manage the demands of work and a happy family… Rachele and Joseph are two lucky people… and I’m a proud father!

Fin da bambina Rachele ha sempre avuto una passione per le borse. Mi ricordo che passava ore intere a giocare con le borse di Eva e proprio da Eva ha ereditato la sua passione per gli accessori…

Una passione che è cresciuta col tempo, credo che oggi la sua collezione di scarpe sia arrivata a oltre 250 paia… tutte organizzate nelle rispettive scatole con la foto su ogni scatola. Insieme condividiamo la passione nel collezionare orologi…

Per Rachele è stato quindi naturale iniziare a lavorare in azienda occupandosi delle linee di accessori della Maison Cavalli.
Ammiro la sua dedizione e la sua creatività… l’amore e la passione che mette in ogni nuovo progetto… sempre così attenta alle nuove tendenze. Crescere in una città d’arte come Firenze ha certamente contribuito a sviluppare le sue capacità artistiche… il suo naturale senso estetico…

Quando Rachele mi ha parlato del progetto Psychotic Love mi ha subito conquistato…

Rachele ha interamente curato la direzione artistica di Psychotic Love, dall’idea iniziale alla storyboard alla realizzazione finale.
Tutte le foto sono state scattate nella mia casa di Firenze, dove in passato sono state realizzate diverse campagne pubblicitarie, ma le tonalità e le inquadrature di Psychotic Love sono assolutamente uniche!

Non so come riesca a dividersi fra i pressanti impegni di lavoro e la famiglia… ma so che Rachele e Joseph sono due persone fortunate… ed io sono un padre orgoglioso!

By now you should know of my great passion for sailing! A passion begun with a small ten meter cabin cruiser… I used to spend the weekend on it with my children, Cristiana and Tomaso…

A passion that led me to sail around the Mediterranean sea several times. But only recently, because of a technical problem with Freedom, have I discovered one of the pearls of the Mediterranean, Budva.

August 2011… Adriatic sea… I was sailing off the Montenegro coast when the sophisticated Bat-zodiac dashboard alerted me of a technical problem with the engines… nothing serious thankfully, but I decided to put in to port to verify the nature of the fault.

I checked the nautical maps and found that the nearest port was Budva. I set the GPS and pointed the bow in that direction…

Budva, a lovely little town – one of the oldest on the Adriatic Sea with its 3500 years of history – is wedged between the mountains and the sea… with inviting sandy beaches…

Budva has become my secret hideaway, since then I have returned several times… this year I was invited to a fashion show entirely dedicated to my fashion.

I leave Sardinia and after a short flight I land at Tivat airport which is only 10 km from Budva. I make a quick stop at the hotel before heading to the press conference. As always, the journalists ask me a lot of questions about my collections… about myself and I realize that everyone reads my blog!

I have a little time before the event tonight so I decide to take a walk along the seafront… an aperitif… some pictures…

A fabulous evening… held in the main square in front of the old town of Budva… I presented my latest collection spring/summer 2013 and a retrospective of the most beautiful dresses of the last fifteen years.

The next day is dedicated entirely to exploring the area and discovering the wonderful colors and hues of Montenegro… who knows, maybe my next collection will be inspired by these places…

People here give me a very warm welcome… unpretentious people… genuine… but unfortunately I have to return to Milan. My many commitments do not allow me to spend a few more days in this beautiful land that is Montenegro…

209. Budva, una delle Perle del Mediterraneo!

Ormai conoscete la mia grande passione per la navigazione! Una passione iniziata con un piccolo cabinato di dieci metri… ci passavo i miei fine settimana con Cristiana e Tommaso…

Una passione che mi ha portato a circumnavigare il Mediterraneo diverse volte, ma solo recentemente e in seguito ad un problemino tecnico con Freedom, ho scoperto una delle perle del Mediterraneo, Budva.

Agosto 2011, mare Adriatico, mi trovo al largo del Montenegro quando i sofisticati strumenti del Bat-gommene mi allertano di un problema tecnico ai motori, niente di grave per fortuna, ma preferisco dirigermi verso terra per verificare la natura del guasto.

Consulto le carte nautiche e il porto più vicino è quello di Budva, imposto il GPS e punto la prua verso Budva…

Budva è una località incantevole, una delle più antiche del mare Adriatico con i suoi 3500 anni di vita, incastrata fra le montagne e il mare con le spiagge di sabbia finissima…

Budva è diventato il mio rifugio segreto, da allora ci sono ritornato diverse volte… quest’anno sono stato invitato a una sfilata interamente dedicata alla mia moda.

Lascio la Sardegna e dopo un breve volo giungo all’aeroporto di Tivat che dista solo 10 Km da Budva. Un veloce salto in hotel prima di recarmi alla conferenza stampa. Come sempre i giornalisti mi fanno un sacco di domande sulle mie collezioni… sulla mia vita e mi rendo conto che tutti leggono il mio blog!

Ho un po’ di tempo a mia disposizione prima dell’evento di questa sera e lo dedico passeggiando sul lungomare… aperitivo… qualche foto…

La fantastica serata si è svolta nella caratteristica piazza di fronte alla città vecchia di Budva… ho presentato la mia ultima collezione primavera/estate 2013 e una retrospettiva degli abiti più belli degli ultimi quindici anni.

Il giorno seguente l’ho interamente dedicato a visitare i dintorni e a scoprire i meravigliosi colori e le tonalità del Montenegro… chissà forse la mia prossima collezione sarà ispirata proprio da questi luoghi…

Ho trovato una calorosa accoglienza… gente semplice… genuina… ma ora devo purtroppo rientrare a Milano, i tanti impegni non mi permettono di passare ancora qualche giorno in questa splendida terra che è il Montenegro…

Freedom is the name of my bat-zodiac. Unlike RC the mega-yacht, Freedom is fast… nimble… compact… ideal for moving across the length and breadth of the Mediterranean Sea… perfect for a weekend of complete relaxation!

Although on board a boat there is always something to do … Freedom is like a woman… constantly demanding your attention. You cannot afford to neglect her, even for a moment!

But in the end this is a part of the game and, when I’m onboard the bat-zodiac, my attention is focused… I snuggle it personally… often at the risk of making those around me jealous…

This weekend I decided to spend my time in Sardinia. With the complicity of Freedom I took off and enjoyed the tranquility that this island has to offer to those who know it and respect it…

Sardinia is beautiful in every season, but June is the perfect month… the spring has just left us and the summer is about to begin. You are able to savor the full tranquility and beauty of these places… the restaurants always have a table available… you walk quietly through the streets… so charming and characteristic… early in the morning I love to go out shopping in the local markets… fresh fish… vegetables… fruit… today I’m cooking!

Porto Rotondo is always able to fully recharge my battery…

The mega-midsummer-party belongs to the past and Sardinia, like a beautiful woman, knows when the time is right to change her gown…

My next appointment will be on the other side of the Mediterranean, in Montenegro where they are already waiting for me…

But let me indulge myself a little longer in the scents that are so typical of this island…

208. Freedom…

Freedom è il nome del mio bat-gommone. A differenza di RC, la mega-barca, Freedom è veloce… agile… compatto… ideale per muoversi in lungo e in largo per il mediterraneo… perfetto per un week end in completo relax!

Anche se a bordo di una barca c’è sempre qualcosa da fare… Freedom è un po’ come una donna… richiede costantemente la tua attenzione. Non puoi permetterti di trascurarla, nemmeno per un attimo!

Ma in fondo fa parte del gioco e quando sono a bordo del bat-gommone la mia attenzione è catalizzata… lo vezzeggio personalmente rischiando spesso di far ingelosire chi mi sta vicino…

Questo week end ho deciso di trascorrerlo in Sardegna. Con la complicità di Freedom ho preso il largo e mi sono goduto un po’ di quella tranquillità che quest’isola sa offrire a chi la conosce e la rispetta…

La Sardegna è bella in ogni stagione, ma Giugno è forse il mese ideale… la primavera ci ha appena lasciato e l’estate sta per iniziare. Si riesce ad assaporare a pieno la tranquillità e la bellezza di questi posti… i ristoranti hanno sempre un tavolo disponibile… si passeggia tranquillamente per le caratteristiche strade semideserte… e la mattina presto amo andare a fare la spesa nei mercatini… pesce fresco… verdura… frutta… oggi cucino io!

Porto Rotondo riesce sempre a ricaricarmi…

Le mega feste di mezza estate appartengono ormai al passato, e la Sardegna, come una bella donna, sa quando è il momento giusto per cambiarsi d’abito…

Il mio prossimo appuntamento sarà dall’altra parte del Mediterraneo, in Montenegro, dove mi stanno già aspettando…

Ma lasciatemi ancora assaporare quei profumi che sono così tipici di quest’isola…
