215. Paris… the most romantic city in the world…

Paris is a city to which I am particularly attached and for which I cherish special memories… there I lived a formative part of my life… Paris was a source of constant inspiration… I spent my time in the Saint Germain area on the Rive Gauche… Whenever there was a long weekend I could not wait to leave for Paris… many friends were waiting for me there…

In the early seventies I bought a small apartment on the top floor of a building located on the Île Saint-Louis, the smaller of the two natural islands which are located along the Seine. The apartment has a large window and a small terrace overlooking the rooftops of Paris… life on the Île Saint-Louis has a charming village atmosphere… an oasis in the center of Paris… many little shops… very characteristic… narrow streets, all one-way…

Paris, the most romantic city in the world… Paris was and is inside of me. Its charm struck me from the first moment I set foot there…

Right there, in Paris on 3rd and 4th of July, Franck Muller presented, in my boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré, the new collection of watches “Roberto Cavalli by Franck Muller”.

The collaboration with the prestigious Swiss brand began in early 2012 and the new collection being presented now is the result of my passion for watches and in particular for the Franck Muller watches of which I already own several models…

I wanted take my personal contribution to these precise measuring instruments of time by combining the characteristic features of my fashion to the precise technology of the Mâitre Horlogers from Franck Muller.

For the “Dual Masters” collection I was inspired by the octagonal form of the Baptistery of San Giovanni in Florence. The materials used are steel and rose gold embellished with diamonds and precious stones in two sizes, 43 mm for men and 40 mm for women. Some models in this collection are also available with the famous “complication movements” mechanism by Franck Muller.

More than a watch I would call it a “jewel”, an ideal complement to a Cavalli dress… I’m proud of these creations and delighted with this collaboration…!

The collection “Signature” is inspired by my passion for nature with my iconic animal prints… sensual… elegant… glamorous…

But France is also Saint Tropez… tomorrow I will tell you about my new Cavalli Café…

215. Parigi… la città più romantica del mondo…

Parigi e una città a cui sono particolarmente legato e di cui conservo dei ricordi speciali… qui ho vissuto una parte della mia vita… Parigi era una fonte di ispirazione continua… passavo il mio tempo nella zona di Saint Germain, Rive Gauche…
Ogni volta che c’era un lungo weekend non vedevo l’ora di partire per Parigi dove avevo tanti amici che mi aspettavano…

All’inizio degli anni settanta ho comprato un piccolo appartamento all’ultimo piano di un palazzo situato sull’Île Saint-Louis, la più piccola delle due isole naturali chi si trovano lungo il corso della Senna. L’appartamento ha una grande vetrata e un piccolo terrazzo che si affacciano sui tetti di Parigi… abitare sull’Île Saint-Louis è come vivere in un piccolo paese… un’oasi nel centro di Parigi… tante botteghe caratteristiche… locali unici… piccole strade, tutte a senso unico…

Parigi, la più romantica città del mondo… Parigi era ed è dentro di me. Il suo fascino mi ha colpito dal primo momento che ho messo piede in questa città…

Proprio a Parigi Il 3 e il 4 luglio Franck Muller ha presentato nella mia Boutique di Rue Saint-Honoré la nuova collezione di orologi “Roberto Cavalli by Franck Muller”.

La collaborazione con il prestigioso marchio svizzero è iniziata agli inizi del 2012 e la nuova collezione presentata in questi giorni è il risultato della mia passione per gli orologi da polso e in particolare degli orologi Franck Muller di cui possiedo diversi modelli…

Ho voluto dare a questi precisi strumenti di misura del tempo il mio personale contributo unendo i tratti caratteristici della mia moda alla precisa tecnologia dei Mâitre Horlogers della Franck Muller.

Per la collezione “Dual Masters” mi sono ispirato alla forma ottagonale del battistero di San Giovanni di Firenze. I materiali utilizzati sono l’acciaio e l’oro rosa impreziositi da diamanti e pietre preziose in due misure, 43 mm per uomo e 40 mm per donna. Alcuni modelli di questa collezione sono poi disponibile con il famoso meccanismo ‘complication movements’ di Franck Muller.

Più che un orologio lo definirei un “gioiello”, complemento ideale ad un abito Cavalli… sono orgoglioso di queste creazioni ed estremamente soddisfatto di questa collaborazione…!

La collezione “Signature” è invece ispirata alla mia passione per la natura con le mie iconiche stampe animalier… una linea sensuale… elegante… glamour…

Ma la Francia è anche Saint Tropez… domani vi parlerò del mio nuovo Cavalli Caffè…
