92. I am in Paris… a beautiful blue sky…a slight breeze makes the heat bearable. It’s like being in paradise for the anniversary of St. Peter…

Maximum confusion… smiling and satisfied faces… every little store that sells trinkets is full of people, young and not so young who buy, not understand what or why but they buy! Perhaps the fault lies with this wonderful day… it clouds your mind… it makes you want to spend money!

Finally, on a crowded street on this carnival Sunday Sandra and I found a small table with two small chairs at a sidewalk cafe.

Lupo, who has managed to carve out his space between the chair and the table, seems satisfied. We ordered a beer, a glass of Sancerre white wine and a plate of “pomme frites”. Lupo is gasping from the heat, I feel selfish to drink in front of him.

We’re relaxing, watching and commenting on the passers-by. Eighty percent of them are walking while talking on their mobile phones. Some are using headsets. It seems as though they are talking to themselves! It’s ridiculous and funny!

Mini skirts and mini pants are in style this summer, even if you have perfect legs like some of those who pass by!

Last night we had a dinner at the home of my favorite designer Alaia. His home studio expresses his character. His genius has become the fashion in art. He is one of the few designers who can bring out the femininity, sexuality and sensuality in women.

Alaia has brought together a group of very nice Brazilian friends, who are sitting around a large table in his kitchen where he is cooking us an excellent Tunisian couscous. I help him set the table and serve dishes filled with the new ‘hot’ creation of a great stylist! I really enjoyed myself… a night different from many others…

I have known Azzedine Alaia for a long time, but not until yesterday did I have the opportunity to know his charm and simplicity.

Tomorrow back to Milan… I hate Mondays… especially when they promise a week like the next one, full of commitments and decisions!

92. Sono a Parigi, un bellissimo cielo celeste e un leggero vento rendono il caldo sopportabile. È come essere in paradiso per l’anniversario di San Pietro…

Il massimo della confusione… visi sorridenti e soddisfatti… ogni piccolo negozio che vende grandi cazzate è pieno di persone di tutte le età che comprano, non capisco cosa e perché, ma comprano! Forse la colpa è di questa giornata meravigliosa, o ti appanna la mente o di fa venire la voglia di spendere!

Finalmente, in questo carnevale domenicale, Sandra ed io abbiamo trovato un piccolissimo tavolino con due mini sedie in uno dei tanti bar sul marciapiede di quest’affollatissima strada.

Lupo è riuscito a ritagliarsi il suo spazio fra la sedia e il tavolo, sembra soddisfatto. Ordiniamo una birra, un bicchiere di vino bianco Sancerre e un piatto di “pomme frites”. Lupo sta boccheggiando dal caldo, mi sento egoista a bere di fronte a lui.

Ci stiamo rilassando, ci piace guardare e commentare. L’ottanta per cento delle persone cammina con il cellulare all’orecchio. Alcuni usano l’auricolare e sembra che parlino con se stessi! È ridicolo e divertente!

Minigonne e mini pants sono la grande moda dell’estate, anche se non hai le gambe perfette, come queste che mi passano davanti!

Ieri sera siamo stati a cena a casa del mio stilista preferito Alaia. La sua casa-studio esprime il suo carattere. La sua genialità ha trasformato la moda in arte. È uno dei pochi stilisti che riesce a mettere in evidenza la femminilità e a rendere le donne sexy e sensuali.

Alaia ha riunito un gruppo di amici brasiliani molto simpatici. Siamo tutti seduti in una grande tavolata nella sua cucina, dove ci ha preparato un eccellente cuscus tunisino. L’ho aiutato a preparare la tavola e a servire i piatti colmi della nuova ‘calda’ creazione del grande stilista! Mi sono veramente divertito… una serata diversa da tante altre…

Conosco Azzedine Alaia da molto tempo, ma solo ieri ho avuto la possibilità di conoscerne la simpatia e la semplicità.

Domani rientro a Milano… odio il lunedì… in special modo quando mi preannuncia una settimana come la prossima, colma di impegni e decisioni!
