20 GOOD MORNING !!!

GOOD MORNING! I just got up, dazed by the special evening for the amfAR. I ran to the computer to see the photos of myself, my guests and all the beautiful girls, young and old, wearing Cavalli. Many, many, beautiful, gorgeous, in Italy we say “Fighissime”. A little vulgar, but you may get the idea!

We had to be ready at 6:30 pm for the red carpet, I was the only one ready on time, waiting for Eva and my sons Robert and Daniele.

Eva appeared in a beautiful white dress with long black lapels. She was gorgeous and very chic!
Robert choked me up. Just eighteen years old in December – I admired him in a perfect black outfit, almost a tuxedo. In the car I knotted his tie! But the most amazing thing is that Robert, with a strong will has lost eighty-eight pounds in the last five months. Now he can show off all his masculine beauty!

Daniel was stylish and chic, he works with me on the collections for men so he knows how to wear clothes, come forward and surprise!

A thousand photographers with their flashes were waiting for me at the red carpet. Have you ever seen a red carpet? A mess! The “Roberto” calls of the photographers…
The runway is long and all the photographers want you looking at them.
Last of all are the television stations holding you back several minutes with the usual silly questions!

Finally I reach the end of the red carpet outside. Now they accompany me inside to my tables where to meet my wonderful guests! In the sixties the great hall of the “Cipriani Wall Street” was a bank, but is now transformed into a large hall for events and concerts – very charming and special.

Everyone was stopping me, wanting to shake my hand and congratulate me on the award I was to receive, an award for my particular devotion to the work of amfAR – a charity to help the many children in Africa who are dying of AIDS.
Finally I arrive at my table! The lights are dimmed. I am already terribly late!

An evening so special and important! I want to create some suspense and tell you every detail in the next posts. Forgive me, but I want you to live with me every last moment of this wonderful evening…

20 GOOD MORNING !!!

GOOD MORNING !!! Mi sono appena alzato, frastornato dalla serata speciale amfAR. Sono corso al computer a vedere le foto di me, dei miei ospiti e di tutte le meravigliose ragazze, giovani e meno giovani che indossavano Cavalli.
Tante, tantissime, belle, bellissime, in Italia si direbbe “Fighissime”. Un po’ volgare, ma rende l’idea!

Dovevamo essere pronti alle 6:30pm per il tappeto rosso, in realtà ero l’unico puntuale e mi sono messo ad aspettare Eva e i miei figli Robert e Daniele.

Eva è apparsa in un bellissimo abito bianco, lungo con revers neri, era meravigliosa e molto chic!
Robert mi ha quasi commosso, 18 anni compiuti a dicembre, era la prima volta che lo ammiravo in un perfetto abito nero, quasi uno smoking. In macchina gli ho fatto il nodo alla cravatta! La cosa più fantastica è che Robert, con una gran forza di volontà, ha perso quaranta chili negli ultimi cinque mesi. Adesso può fare sfoggio di tutta la sua mascolina bellezza!

Daniele era elegante e chic, mi aiuta nelle collezioni uomo e quindi sa bene come indossare, proporsi e meravigliare!

Mille fotografi e flash mi attendevano al red carpet . Avete mai assistito a un red carpet? Un casino! Le urla dei fotografi, Roberto… Roberto… Roberto…
La passerella è lunga e tutti i fotografi ti desiderano in posizione giusta. Le ultime sono le televisioni che ti trattengono diversi minuti con le solite stupide domande!

Finalmente sono a fine, mi accompagnano al mio tavolo dove incontrerò le mie bellissime ospiti! Il red carpet era all’esterno, adesso entro nel grande salone del “Cipriani Wall Street” che fino agli anni 60 era una banca, trasformato in seguito in un gran salone per eventi e concerti. Molto suggestivo e speciale

Vengo fermato continuamente, tutti desiderano stringermi la mano e congratularsi del premio che sto per ricevere, un premio alla mia particolare devozione all’opera di amfAR – associazione benefica a favore dei tantissimi bambini che in Africa muoiono ogni anno uccisi dall’Aids.
Finalmente arrivo al mio tavolo! Le luci erano già abbassate e sono in terribile ritardo!

Una serata così speciale e importante! Voglio creare un po’ di suspense e raccontarvi ogni dettaglio nei prossimi post. Scusatemi ma desidero farvi vivere insieme a me ogni attimo di questa meravigliosa serata…
