The mega yacht is moored in the harbor along with the yachts of all the major studios. There is a constant coming and going of actresses, actors and… Paparazzi! These days in Cannes you cannot move without being photographed thousands of times… even taking Lupo for his customary walk becomes an event!
This year one of the most important events is the amfAR dinner which will be held on the 23rd of May. Ninety tables and nine hundred guests… many friends from the entertainment world… The tables will be set up with items from the new Cavalli Home collection. The usual amfAR auction to raise funds in favor of the research to fight AIDS will see bidding on several objects of my new ORO Home collection.
As in every year the gowns that I created for the stars have required a commitment from our skilled seamstresses who are busy late into the night making the finishing touches. Every dress has to be perfect in every detail…
On the 24th I will fly directly to Vienna… the inauguration of the new Boutique… an anthology fashion show… the Life Ball… and… a very special Mini Cooper!
